Chinese smartphone company OnePlus has finally announced the launch of OnePlus 5T on 16 November at Brooklyn, New York.
OnePlus 5T will be available in China on December 1. Buyers in India will be able to get their device through a flash sale on 21 November, while official sales are going to start on 21 November.
OnePlus 5T will go on Early Access sale on 21 November at 4:30 pm on Amazon and OnePlus' online store in India. The device will also be available through all sales channels in the country soon after.
Interested users can watch the live stream of the launch event on 16 November, 9:30 pm onwards.
Indian Fans can also watch the launch, live at special paid screenings at PVR theaters across New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. To attend the screening, OnePlus fans can book the tickets for Rs. 99 on Bookmyshow, starting 8th November from 10 am onwards.
Company’s CEO Pete Lau also hinted that OnePlus 5T will cost around Rs 40,000 in India.
According to various leaked renders, OnePlus 5T features a 6-inch FHD+ (2160x1080) bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Unlike the OnePlus 5, its successor will have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as there won’t be any space for a physical home button where fingerprint sensor was embedded in older OnePlus smartphones.
OnePlus 5T will come with Android 8.0 Oreo with Oxygen OS on top. Talking about its processor, OnePlus 5T will be probably powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core processor. It might probably be launched in two RAM+Storage variants just like its predecessor.
The leak suggests that OnePlus 5T will have same dimensions as the OnePlus 5 but its display size will increase due to the decreased bezel size.
