Maharashtra Continues To Have Highest Contribution To AAUM: Icra Analytics

The Average Assets Under Management (AAUM) rose 37.29 per cent on yearly basis to Rs 57.01 lakh crore in April 2024, highlighted a report by Icra analytics.
Maharashtra continues to have the highest contribution to the Average Assets under Management (AAUM) in April 2024 with a share of 40.91 per cent, followed by New Delhi at 8.35 per cent, Karnataka at 7.00 per cent, Gujarat at 6.84 per cent and West Bengal at 5.11 per cent. The top 5 states accounted for around 68 per cent of total contribution.
No states and union territories in India witnessed a sequential decline in Average Assets under Management (AAUM) in April 2024.
Interestingly, the top three states in terms of sequential growth were Meghalaya, Telangana and Daman and Diu.
Equity-oriented schemes continued to witness the maximum share from all states.
Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes contributed the most towards AAUM in April 2024, which stood at 52.36 per cent. It was followed by Other Debt Oriented Schemes and Liquid Schemes, whose contribution stood at 15.89 per cent and 13.15 per cent respectively.
With a relatively lower share, Other Exchange Traded Funds was at 11.80 per cent, Balanced Schemes at 5.78 per cent, Gold Exchange Traded Fund at 0.58 per cent and Fund of Fund Investing Overseas at 0.44 per cent.
