Huawei’s sub-brand Honor recently unveiled Honor 7X in China. According to reports, Huawei is going to launch its bezel-less smartphone in India this December.
The smartphone was launched in China last month at a price of CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs 12,890) for 32GB, CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs 16,850) for 64GB, and CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs 19,820) for 128GB variant. However, nothing is clear about Honor 7X price in India or which variants will be launched.
Huawei aims to lead the Indian smartphone market which is currently led by Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo. Huawei Global President George Zhao told IANS "We will launch Honor 7X in December at such a price that it will have no competitor in that segment.”
He also added, “We have the capability to outcompete other dominating players in the Indian smartphone market in terms of quality, but our marketing efforts need to improve,”
Honor 7X runs on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It is powered by Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. It comes in three storage variants of 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB; storage in all variants can be expanded up to 256GB through hybrid a dual SIM configuration.
The Honor mobile features a 5.93-inch FHD+ (2160x1080) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It sports a dual camera setup with 16-MP+2-MP sensors, on the front is an 8-megapixel selfie-snapper.
It is backed by a 3,340mAh battery and has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor; connectivity options are – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G VoLTE, and GPS.
