HTC U11+, U11 Life Launched: Price, And Specifications
HTC has announced two new additions to its U11 lineup- HTC U11+ and U11 Life. The Taiwanese company has finally unveiled its first edge-to-edge display smartphone HTC U11+ which is now in the club of premium bezel-less display smartphones. HTC U11+ will go on sale in select markets at EUR 799 (roughly Rs 60,000); it will soon be launched in India too. On the other hand, HTC U11 Life is priced at $ 349 (roughly Rs 23,000).

HTC U11+ runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with HTC’s Sense UI on top. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor. The handset comes in two RAM+Storage variants of 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The storahe on both variants is expandable up to 2TB through a hybrid dual-SIM configuration where second SIM slot doubles as a MicroSD card holder.
The major highlight of HTC U11+ is the display, it features a 6-inch Quad HD+ (2880x1440) Super LCD 18:9 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. It sports a 12-megapixel rear camera with 1.4 micrometer pixel, OIS, BSI sensor, f/1.7, ultraspeed Auto Focus and dual-LED flash. On the front is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, BSI sensor, auto selfie and voice selfie options.
The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 3930mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0 and gives up to 25 hours of talktime. The smartphone is IP68 water and dust resistant, there is also a rear mounted fingerprint sensor on the device.
HTC U11+ will come with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, both can be launched using Edge Sense- by squeezing the edges. The phone has always on microphone which means you can launch Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa even when screen is off. Like the every other flagship devices around, this phone also doesn't have a 3.5mm audio-jack.
Connectivity options include - Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5, NFC, 4G VoLTE, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, and USB Type-C 3.1. It measures 158.5 x 74.9 x 8.5mm and weighs 188 grams. The phone wiil be available in three colours – ceramic black, translucent black, and amazing silver.

HTC U11 Life runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with HTC’s Sense UI on top. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor. The handset comes in two RAM+Storage variants of 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB. The storage on both variants is expandable up to 2TB through a Micro-SD card.
HTC U11 Life features a 5.2-inch FHD (1920x1080) Super LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. It sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, 4K video recording, BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and LED flash. On the front is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, BSI sensor, auto selfie and voice selfie options.
HTC U11 Life also comes with HTC Edge Sense which lets users the ability to activate apps like camera, send texts and open emails by squeezing the sides of the smartphone. You can also open Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa by squeezing it.
The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 2600mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0 and gives up to 21 hours of talktime. The smartphone is IP67 water and dust resistant, there is also a rear mounted fingerprint sensor on the device.
Connectivity options include - Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5, NFC, 4G VoLTE, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, and USB 2.0 Type-C. It measures 149.09 x 72.9 x 8.1mm and weighs 142 grams. The phone wiil be available in sapphire blue colour.
