Huawei Watch 2
Huawei launched its second generation of smartwatch –Huawei Watch 2 in India this September. The smartwatch comes in two variants Sports and Classic where Sports is available in Bluetooth/4G connectivity options and classic is only available with Bluetooth option.
The watch is available on Amazon and offline channels across India. Talking about its price, Sports (Bluetooth) and Classic (Bluetooth) comes at Rs 20,999 and Rs 25,999. The Sports cellular (4G) variant is priced at Rs 29,999.
Huawei Watch 2 runs on Android Wear 2.0 operating system which is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. It is powered by 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor coupled with 768MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. The watch is IP68 water and dust resistant.
Watch 2 features a 1.2-inch (390x390) circular AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is backed by a 420mAh battery. Connectivity options includes- Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and GPS. With the Sports (4G) variant of a smartwatch, you can respond to calls and texts as it supports a nano 4G SIM.
This smartwatch is also a high specification fitness device that uses multiple sensors with advanced algorithms to provide fitness solutions and make working out more efficient and effective. Built-in smart sensors collect comprehensive data on user activity, including distance, speed, steps, heart rate, heart rate range, calories, gait, route and more.
Apple Watch Series 3
Apple Watch Series 3 comes in two models- GPS and GPS with cellular connectivity. The cellular model will be available in India from next year. The model available in India is the GPS one which is priced at Rs 29,900.
The watch is compatible with iPhone 5s and later devices running iOS 11. It comes in gold, silver as well as space grey aluminum with a sport band.
Apple Watch Series 3 runs on Apple’s latest watchOS 4 which features updated Heart rate app. The watch is powered by a 70 per cent faster dual-core S3 processor and new W2 wireless chip. The lithium-ion battery in the watch lasts for up to 18 hours.
Apple Watch Series 3 comes in two different case sizes 38mm and 42mm, both features an OLED Retina display.
It has a barometric altimeter that assists with tracking activity, flights climbed and outdoor workouts, including elevation gain.
Connectivity options of the Watch are- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, Cellular connectivity, GPS, and GLONASS. Talking about the sensors, it has an accelerometer, heart rate sensor, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor.
Apple Watch Series 2 has a water resistance rating of 50 metres, it may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. Unlike Samsung Gear S3 or other smartwatches which are compatible with both Android phones and iPhones, the Apple Watch works only with iPhones.
Samsung Gear S3
Samsung Gear S3 is available in two options frontier and classic. The frontier has a rugged design with a silicone band and the classic features an elegant style with a leather band. The wearable is priced at Rs 28,500.
The smartwatch runs on Tizen-based OS 2.3 which makes it compatible with both Android phones and iPhones through Bluetooth. The Gear S3 has built-in speaker & mic that lets you make or take calls right from the device or even set a reminder by voice.
It is powered by Exynos 7270 chipset with 768MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It features a 1.3-inch super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass SR+ protection. It is rated IP68 and is able to withstand dust and dirt. The watch can remain up to 1.5 meters underwater for a maximum of 30 minutes.
It also has a built-in GPS that gives you the freedom to explore and stay on track even without your phone. Your whereabouts can be traced by a set of people chosen by you, by pressing the home button three times.
The watch also has Accelerometer, Gyrometer, Barometer, Heart Rate Monitor, and Ambient light sensors.
Moto 360 Sport
Moto 360 Sport works with Android fitness apps. Moto Body records your workout data and syncs directly with these apps, so your workout history is always up to date.
The Moto 360 Sport features a 1.37-inch round display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
It has built-in GPS that works seamlessly with Moto Body to measure your performance. This means you can track the distance you've travelled, your pace, lap times, and more. There’s no need to carry your phone.
The watch runs on Android Wear which makes it compatible with Android phones and iPhones. 360 Sport is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 4GB.
The wearable is backed by a 300mAh battery which the company claims can last for a day. The watch comes with silicone band.
Moto 360 Sport houses Barometric Altimeter, Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Gyroscope, Vibration engine, and an Optical heart rate monitor. It is IP67 water and dust resistant which can withstand immersion in up to 3 feet of fresh water for 30 minutes.
The smartwatch was launched with a price tag of Rs 19,999 which is now available on e-commerce websites at different prices.
