Bharat Day 13 Box Office Collection: Movie Faces A Downward Spiral

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar movie Bharat, hailed as the biggest Salman Khan blockbuster this year. The movie managed to collect more than Rs 150 crore in less than a week.
Also, it bagged the title of the biggest opening movie that created history by earning Rs 42.30 crore on the very first day.
The movie is now struggling to cross Rs 200 crore to enter the club in the second week of its release.
The movie somehow managed to rake Rs 6 crore on its second Sunday, which took the entire second weekend collection to Rs 16 crore and overall collection to Rs 188.65 crore in just 13 days.
The makers of the movie was eying for Rs 300 crore, however, it is still crawling to reach that number.
Apart from the higher numbers, the movie is getting mixed reviews from critics and audience.
Komal Nahta, a movie critic, claimed that the movie is a big disaster. On the other hand, Taran Adarsh, another movie critic, gave the movie 4 out of 5 stars and called it a ‘Smash Hit’.
Ali Abbas’ film ‘Bharat’ had an estimated budget of around Rs 125 crore including print and advertisement cost.
The movie depicts India’s post- Independence history displaying the life of Bharat (played by Salman Khan) within a period of 60 years after his father stays back in present day Pakistan during Partition in India in 1947, who then takes an ode from his 8 year old child to keep the family together and lead the household under any circumstances.
The movie was a remake of a South Korean movie – ‘Ode To My Father’. The movie has a screen count of 4700 across India and a worldwide screen count of 6000 screens.
