The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has announced an extension of the application deadline for its residential plot scheme from 5 August to 23 August 2024. The decision, driven by overwhelming demand from applicants seeking more time to prepare and submit their applications, was confirmed by Arun Vir Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Yeida, in media reports.
Launched on 5 July, the scheme offers 361 plots located in Sectors 16, 18, 20, and 22-D along the Yamuna Expressway, near the Noida International Airport. The land rate for these plots has been set at Rs 25,900 per square metre.
“We have extended the application submission date to provide more time for those who want to apply for the plots. These plots will be allotted through a lucky draw, now scheduled for October 10 instead of the earlier date of 20 September 2024,” said Singh.
The scheme includes plots ranging from 120 square metres to 4,000 square metres, strategically located to offer future residents diverse options near the airport. The authority has implemented a 5% increase in rates for plots with park-facing locations and corner plots.
Special provisions have been made for farmers whose land has been acquired for Yeida’s planned development or the Jewar Airport, with a 17.5 per cent reservation in these allotments.
According to Yeida officials, the scheme has already attracted nearly 91,380 application forms along with the requisite 10 per cent registration fee. The extension of the deadline is expected to further increase these numbers.
Future residents of the plots will benefit from world-class facilities in the vicinity, including the airport, film city, medical devices park, MotoGP track, electronics manufacturing cluster, MSME apparel and toy park, and the Yamuna Expressway.
