Xiaomi Mi 10 Set to Launch in India on May 8; Might Introduce Indian Variant
Xiaomi has announced the launch of its flagship smartphone Mi 10 on May 8 in India. This move comes after the government has provided some relaxation in the third phase of lockdown. The smartphone was scheduled to be launched last month but due to the countrywide lockdown situation, the launch was postponed.
The Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi, will launch Mi 10 smartphone via an online event on May 8. The launch event will be live-streamed at 12 pm on the social media channels of the company. The Indin price and availability of the smartphone is still under wraps, Post-launch, the company plans to make it available via Amazon India.
What’s New For India
Xiaomi has already launched the Mi 10 smartphone series in global markets. According to some reports, the smartphone maker may give some unique features in the Indian variant of Mi 10 smartphone. The Indian customers may not get the more advanced Mi 10 Pro variant, resulting in a device without the telephoto lens, as the company has teased only the regular Mi 10 model on their social media feeds.
On the other hand, the Indian variant of Mi 10 might come with Dual-SIM support. The global variant comes only with a Single SIM option.
The Indian Variant of Mi 10 will only be launched within two colour variants, Twilight Grey and Coral Green.

The global variant of Mi 10 is equipped with 6.67- inch Full HD+ TrueColor AMOLED display with 90 Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and paired with 8GB-12GB RAM and 128GB-256GB Storage Variant. The smartphone runs on Android 10 out of the box and supports 5G connectivity.
In the Camera department, the global variant of the smartphone is equipped with 108 MP primary camera, 12MP telephoto lens, 13 MP Ultra-wide lens and 2 MP macro lens. For selfies, the smartphone is equipped with a 20MP front camera.
The smartphone gets its power from 4,780 mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging along with wireless charging and reverse charging support. For Security, the smartphone is equipped with the in-display fingerprint support and face recognition feature. The smartphone also expected to come without Ads as a premium gesture.
Xiaomi Mi 10 5G Price In India
In China, the smartphone price starts at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 42,400). The company might choose a different price model for India considering the ongoing situation. The smartphone is expected to price between Rs 45,000-50,000 in India.
