WICCI Insurance Council And SureClaim Launch A Health Insurance Claims Facilitation Program For Women Impacted By COVID-19

Over the last two years, the continued surge of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused innumerable challenges for Indian households. Apprehensions about a third and subsequent waves loom large. One of the significant ramifications of the pandemic has been the rising healthcare costs that have burdened millions of COVID impacted families. While the lack of health insurance is crippling many such affected families, even those with insurance struggle to claim their dues from insurers.

These COVID-affected individuals are running pillar to post to understand the terms and conditions of their health insurance policies for claims servicing and source the appropriate documentation needed to process the claims on time. These challenges have particularly impacted women. Many of them have to attend to their ailing family members, manage home and tend to their children.

Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WICCI) Insurance Council, in partnership with SureClaim, has proactively initiated a Claims facilitation program for women who need help to get their insurance claims processed on time. The service, provided at a specially discounted fee, will cover all categories of health insurance claims across all disease categories irrespective of Insurers and Third Party Assurers (TPA).

Women’s Business Chamber of Commerce & Industry , WICCI enables fundamental changes in governmental policies, laws, and incentives to robustly encourage and empower women in business, industry, and commerce across all sectors. WICCI Insurance Council is a forum comprising 22 women professionals to promote the participation of women in insurance. The WICCI Insurance Council addresses three broad segments of Insurance awareness and financial inclusion, namely

· Enrol more women as prospects and new consumers to protect themselves, their families, their assets, and their financial future

· Educate women about their policy benefits as policyholders or as beneficiaries

· Help women unleash their potential to become independent Insurance entrepreneurs

WICCI Insurance Council is actively engaged in creating & implementing programs to bridge the gap and connect women in need with Insurance solutions to offer them financial protection against adversity. It will assist them to better understand insurance entitlements for their policies or where they are beneficiaries. This Council will also create partner programs to sensitise and skill them for livelihood opportunities in the industry.
