Vivo Nex Vs Oppo Find X: Price, Specifications Comparison

After Oppo Find X's arrival in India, Vivo has also launched their all-screen smartphone Vivo Nex in India which also comes with a pop-out selfie camera. Both Vivo Nex and Oppo Find X are unique when it comes to design with both of them having minimal bezels and motorized cameras. 

Vivo Nex’s selfie camera pops out while Oppo Find X has a motorized slider which houses both rear and front cameras along with a bunch of sensors. With a lot of similarities among the two phones, we compare Vivo Nex’s price and specifications with Oppo Find X. 

Software, Processor and Storage

Vivo Nex runs on FuntouchOS based on Android 8.1 Oreo and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor which is coupled with 8GB RAM and Adreno 630 GPU. The handset has 8GB RAM+128GB of internal storage and there is no MicroSD card slot so memory can’t be expanded.

Oppo Find X runs on ColorOS 5.1 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo which supports Android P Beta and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and Adreno 630 GPU. It has on-board storage of 256GB which cannot be expanded further.

Camera and Display

The new Vivo Nex is an all-screen smartphone with 6.59-inches full HD+ (2316x1080pixels) super AMOLED Ultra Full view display with 19.3:9 aspect ratio and 91.24% screen-to-body ratio. It measures 162 x 77 x 7.98mm and weighs 199 grams. The handset sports vertically aligned dual rear camera setup of 12-megapixels+5-megapixels sensors with AI scene recognition, HDR, 4-axis OIS and dual LED flash. On the front, there is 8-megapixel selfie snapper that pops out from top whenever you’ll need to click selfie.

Oppo Find X features a 6.42-inches full HD+ (2340x1080 pixels) AMOLED with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides. It measures 156.7 x 74.2 x 9.4mm and weighs 186 grams. The handset was India’s first pop-out motorised camera mechanism which includes both front and rear cameras. Oppo FindX sports 25 megapixel selfie snapper with AI beauty technology and 3D facial scanning. It has dual rear camera set up with 20-megapixels+16-megapixels with dual LED flash.

Battery and Connectivity 

Vivo Nex is backed by 4,000mAh battery with fast charging. The Connectivity options available in the handset are Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and 3.5mm headphone jack. It is equipped with 3rd gen in-display fingerprint sensor which unlocks the smartphone at much faster pace and accuracy. But unlike Oppo FindX it does not have 3D face recognition.

Oppo FindX is backed with 3,730mAh battery life that supports VOOC flash charge. The connectivity options provided by the company in the handset are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, and Location. It features 3D Face unlock system for unlocking the phone which is 20 times safer than fingerprint recognition sensor. 

Price

• Vivo Nex will be an Amazon exclusive at Rs 44,990. It is available for pre-orders starting today and the sale will commence from 21 July.
• Oppo Find X’s price has been fixed at Rs.59,990 with colour options of Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue
