The rumours on Khichdi to be named as National Dish on World Food India Day is all in vain as Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, made clear on Wednesday (1 November) night via Twitter that Khichdi is NOT going to be named India’s National Food at the upcoming World Food India showcase organised by her ministry in New Delhi from 3-5 November in Vigyan Bhawan.
How did this rumour take place?
The confusion originated from the idea of chef Sanjeev Kapoor, who has declared that he is going to cook 800 kg khichdi at World Food India to set a record of making the biggest ever dish.
Let's take a peep into twitter to check our more interesting comment on the same.
Two spoons #Khichdi a day keeps antinationals away. The rest MC, BC, DFGH etc can go to Pakistan pic.twitter.com/MVnMY4OGp0
