Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a transformative partnership with Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC), the master franchise holder of McDonald's in the Philippines.
This two-year agreement will be TCS' first engagement with the fast-food giant in the Asia-Pacific region, aims to revolutionise the IT infrastructure across over 760 McDonald's restaurants in the country.
Under the new deal, TCS will upgrade GADC’s existing systems by migrating them to the cloud with SAP S/4HANA on RISE. This upgrade is designed to standardize and digitize operations, enhancing the efficiency and performance of GADC’s IT landscape. The move is expected to offer better data insights, improve decision-making processes, and optimise operational performance across the chain.
Margot Torres, Managing Director at GADC, said, “This partnership with TCS is another step in our continuous digital transformation. The implementation of SAP S/4HANA on RISE will provide us greater agility through data-driven insights, enabling us to continuously improve our customer and employee experience.”
The benefits of this strategic overhaul include greater operational efficiency, reduced costs, and an improved experience for franchisees, which is anticipated to drive greater stakeholder loyalty. TCS will also use the capabilities of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to provide development and integration services, including app development, automation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence.
Shiju Varghese, Country Head, TCS Philippines, said, “We are pleased to partner with GADC on this significant engagement that marks an important step for TCS Philippines as we expand our presence in the region’s fast-food industry. By leveraging the advanced capabilities of SAP S/4HANA and the innovative potential of SAP BTP, we aim to enhance McDonald’s operational efficiency and customer experience, for business innovation and excellence.”
This partnership is a crucial expansion for TCS in the Philippine market, where it has been active since 2008. With over 5,000 employees in the region, TCS continues to work in various sectors, including telecom, banking, and real estate.
