India is set to become an important hub for SAP Labs’ global AI efforts with the announcement of two big leadership appointments. Rahul Lodhe has been named Global Head of Engineering for SAP Business AI Copilot Joule, while Sudhakar Singh takes on the role of Chief AI Security Officer.
These strategic roles will be headquartered at SAP’s Bengaluru hub, reflecting the growing importance of India in the global tech landscape. Rahul Lodhe is a seasoned SAP leader with 24 years of experience, will oversee the engineering efforts for SAP Business AI Copilot Joule. His responsibilities include driving the seamless integration of Joule across various Lines of Business (LOBs), providing technical leadership, and fostering innovation. Lodhe will look to align product development with market trends in Generative AI and customer needs.
On the other hand, Sudhakar Singh, with over two decades of expertise in cybersecurity and a 12-year tenure at SAP, will lead SAP’s AI security initiatives. As Chief AI Security Officer, Singh will focus on cybersecurity, data privacy, AI regulations and compliance within the SAP Business AI portfolio. His role will involve collaborating with global security teams and customer success departments to ensure that SAP’s AI solutions adhere to the highest standards of security and privacy, maintaining trust and driving continuous innovation.
