OnePlus 13 could be released as early as October, according to a recent tip from Digital Chat Station, a source of smartphone leaks. The forthcoming device is expected to include the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor and a plentiful of enhanced specs.
Following the introduction of the OnePlus 12 in December last year, the OnePlus 13 could arrive sooner than expected, possibly towards the end of October or early November. If these rumours are accurate, the OnePlus 13 will be one of the first smartphones to employ Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, which will be officially introduced at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii in early October.
The device is expected to feature a 6.8-inch 1,440p 8T LTPO display, which will offer enhanced visuals and better performance. A 6,000 mAh battery may power the smartphone, with support for 100W cable charging and 50W wireless charging, offering speedy and efficient power replenishment.
The smartphone is likely to include a versatile triple camera arrangement on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor (Sony LYT808), a 50MP ultrawide lens (Sony IMX882) and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera (Sony IMX882) with 3x optical zoom. The device is also rumoured to feature an IP68 or IP69 rating, indicating strong dust and water resistance. While OnePlus has not yet verified any specifics about the OnePlus 13, these rumoured specifications suggest a major upgrade over the OnePlus 12, which used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU.
