Riding on its malted beverage drink Bournvita, Mumbai-based FMCG brand Mondelez India Foods Private Limited on Tuesday (April 19) launched of its new biscuit brand, Cadbury Bournvita Biscuits to target the morning segment of biscuits businesses in India.
Bournvita Biscuits is the company’s second brand in the biscuits category after Oreo, which was launched in 2011. With this Mondelez India expands its category footprint from creams to cookies.

The company generated $30 billion revenue in 2015 with the biscuits segment contributing 40 per cent of its revenue share. The company has four manufacturing plants in India and it enjoys 65 per cent of India’s market share in food and beverages industry.

The morning snacking occasion, has a huge opportunity for a product that brings together taste and nutrition which consumers want. Bournvita Biscuits will provide the choice of a delicious biscuit enriched with the wholesome goodness of Bournvita - the drink Indian consumers have trusted for close to seven decades.”
Bournvita Biscuits will be available exclusively through a pre-launch (a week before offline) on Snapdeal, the online market place. It will then be available across all major urban and rural retailers from May 16.
Bournvita Biscuits will be available in two packs of Rs 10 and Rs 25.
