Home grown mobile handset brand Micromax has made a comeback with two smartphones in the budget category after being away from the market for around 2 years. The company has launched its IN Note 1 and IN 1b sub-brand. Both smartphones are aimed at budget buyers. The phones come with MediaTek Helio series processors and boasts a massive battery of 5000 mAh.
Once launched, the new Micromax phones will take on the likes of the Redmi, Itel and Tecno, etc, which currently dominate the budget segment.
Pricing and Availability
Micromax IN 1b comes in 2 variants. The 2 GB+32 GB storage variant is priced at Rs 6,999 whereas the higher 4 GB+64 GB Storage variant carries a price tag of Rs 7,999. On the other hand, Micromax IN Note 1 is also available in 2 configurations. The 4 GB+64 GB storage variant costs Rs 10,999 while 6 GB+64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 12,499. Both the smartphones will be available on sale from November 24 via Micromax's website and Flipkart.
Micromax In Note 1 specifications
Micromax In Note 1 sports a 6.67-inch IPD LCD display with full HD + resolution. Under the hood, it gets the MediaTek Helio G85 processor coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. Talking about camera setup, it comes with an AI quad-camera setup at the rear. It gets a 48-megapixel primary camera sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The phone comes with a huge 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The smartphone runs on the Android 10 operating system and it will be given Android 11 and Android 12 updates in the next two years. For selfie and video chats, the 16-megapixel front camera sits in the hole-punch display in the middle.
Micromax In 1B specifications
Micromax In 1B sports a 6.5-inch HD + resolution display. Under the hood, it gets the MediaTek Helio G35 processor mated to up to 4 GB RAM and up to 64 GB of internal storage. Coming to camera setup, it gets a dual-camera setup which consists of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor at the rear. For selfies, it comes with an 8-megapixel front camera.
The smartphone runs on Android 10 operating system users and the company assured that users will get the Android updates for the next two years. For security, a fingerprint scanner has been given on its rear panel. The device boasts a large 5000mAh battery. Also, the company provided the USB Type-C connectivity for 10W fast charging.
