Mashreq Names Tushar Vikram As Country Head & CEO Of India
With a career in business banking spanning three decades, Vikram is set to lead Mashreq’s operations in India
Mashreq, a financial institution in the MENA region, has announced the appointment of Tushar Vikram as its new Country Head and CEO of India, effective June 2024.
With a distinguished career in business banking spanning three decades, Vikram is set to lead Mashreq’s operations in India, focusing on strategic direction and growth within the country.
Before joining Mashreq, he served as the Group Head of Investment Banking at HDFC Bank, overseeing Project Finance, Equity, Debt Capital Markets, and M&A. His tenure at Citibank, which lasted 27 years, included various roles in Commercial Banking, Investment and Structured Finance, Digitization, Credit Processes, and Risk Management.
He brings a strong background in investment banking, corporate finance, and strategic financial management, coupled with expertise in navigating complex financial landscapes and driving sustainable growth strategies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Delhi University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
