Mahindra Comviva, Tech Mahindra’s mobility solutions arm, has launched Zerch, an app which offers local deals and product discovery in the market of Bangalore and Delhi-NCR.
In Bangalore and Delhi-NCR, Zerch has already crossed 150,000 active users and has exclusive offers listed across 2100 stores.
By end of the current fiscal, Zerch aims to have 2.5 lakh users and 5,000 merchants on its platform.
Zerch offers deals from nearby merchants in food and beverages, spas, salons and apparel, accessories, books, gifts and electronics among other categories. Merchants list for Zerch include brands like Burger King, Pizza Hut, Ferns N Petals and Javed Habib hair salon.
“Today consumers are digitally empowered and expect to be served at any time and place of their choice. We believe that businesses need to be where the consumer are. Zerch is created to cater to this need of finding the best deals anywhere, anytime and ensure a superlative user experience leveraging the power of technology to enhance the in-store shopping experience,” said Srinivas Nidugondi, Senior VP and Head of Mobile Financial Solutions, Mahindra Comviva.
Mahindra Comviva is following a phase wise approach for Zerch. The next phase will revolve around the theme of transformation of offline shopping experience which will involve moving on from a hyper local to micro local approach for reaching out to consumers
Zerch will help small and medium businesses (SMBs) that may not have the right tools for contextual marketing.
According to the company, a recently concluded promotional activity with 15 select merchants in Bengaluru showed an increase in footfall of around 5-10 per cent for most stores on a day-to-day basis.
Zerch will compete with apps like Shop Bindaas, Madpiggy and Little that help people discover deals in their neighbourhoods.
