The Energy Minister of Karnataka, KJ George met the Union Minister for Power, New & Renewable Energy RK Singh recently to apprise him about the energy situation of Karnataka.
The minister took to X (formerly Twitter) to share this and other details of the meeting. According to George, he met the Union Minister for Power, New & Renewable Energy RK Singh and apprised him of the energy situation in Karnataka.

George provided details on the measures implemented to enhance power generation within the state in response to the rising demand for electricity.
Furthermore, he appealed to the central government to assist Karnataka's request for increased power supply by allocating a larger portion of capacity in Central generating stations.
Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department, Government Of Karnataka Gaurav Gupta also participated in the meeting.
The state minister also shared details of various innovative projects taken up by the Karnataka government with core emphasis on wind and solar energy which would reduce the dependence on conventional sources of energy and moving towards clean and sustainable renewable energy sources.
