Huawei is expected to deliver the world's first triple-fold handset, marking a significant moment in the foldable smartphone market. According to recent claims and insider discoveries, Huawei is about to debut its much-anticipated triple-fold smartphone. Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei's Consumer Business Division, has been observed demonstrating the smartphone on several occasions, igniting interest and conjecture in the tech community. At a recent event, Yu answered to a customer's question about the debut date with the simple phrase "next month," implying that official teases and releases are on the way.
Although Huawei has yet to declare formal details, pictures and leaks have provided insight into the upcoming device's design. A viral photo of Yu showed a smartphone with a centred punch-hole for the selfie camera on the left-most screen. Unlike ordinary foldable smartphones, which use a single hinge, this triple-fold device has two hinges, resulting in two unique creases. The item appears to be quite slim, fitting easily into Yu's palms.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the next triple-fold smartphone resembles a prior R&D prototype and is believed to have a 10-inch screen when fully unfolded, similar to a tablet with three segmented displays. Rumours say that the gadget will be powered by Huawei's Kirin 9-series CPU, which promises outstanding performance and efficiency.
According to speculation, this unique device could be part of the Mate series and released before the delayed Mate 70 release. If real, the tri-fold smartphone might set a new benchmark for foldable technology, setting it apart from current market offerings like the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, Moto Razr range and Vivo X Fold series, which all have single or double-fold designs.
