FITTR Raises Rs 35 Lakh To Combat COVID-19 Crisis
FITTR, an online fitness startup has raised Rs 35 lakh through the support of its volunteer group BETTR to support the medical fraternity across the country. The volunteer group has around 4,000 people who are serving the poor and needy. The volunteer group has been raised money through the support of Atharvani Foundation. From provisioning food to protective gears in hospitals, FITTR is gearing up to support people during the pandemic.
Jitendra Chouksey, Founder, FITTR said, “We are distributing meals throughout Delhi and Noida. The entire money that BETTR has raised has been kept in open democratically wherein everyone knows about the usage of the money and we keep updating it on a daily basis. We are validating who is looking for any kind of help and we are trying to help people in anyway we can. There is no specific criteria. Anyone whosoever is in need can utilise these funds whether its for blood, PPE kits, masks etc. Our volunteers are working throughout the world to provide support during the novel coronavirus.”
The company’s revenue for FY19-20 was 40 crore and has reached around Rs 100 crore of gross revenue since its inception back in 2016 with a 30% strong year-on-year growth. FITTR commenced as a bootstrapped startup and has been community-driven. While working on a freemium model wherein it educates users on the importance and easiness of being fit. The startup is servicing around 40,000 paid clients in the latest financial year.
