Our business philosophy and commitment to social responsibility, empowering rural artisans had a significant impact on our success and growth. We just started with 2 looms and 9 artisans expanded to 7000 looms. Currently, we are closely working with 40,000 rural artisans with 90 per cent women workforce.

Our overall group revenue stands at Rs 920 crores and expected to cross Rs 1,000 crores by the end of this year. We export to over 90 countries with US and Europe as our biggest markets. Today, we have 8 Monobrand stores in India and abroad and franchise stores in China and Russia. Along with it, we have worldwide distribution network and grown in terms of size, reach, product range, and our sustainable approach.

We have stores in Milan and now also in Dubai to cater to our international audience in MEA and Europe, besides we have franchise stores in China and Russia. Recognising the growing importance of online retail, we have invested in building a robust e-commerce platform. This allows customers from around the world to easily browse and purchase rugs directly from the company's website. The online presence enables us to overcome geographical barriers and reach customers in remote locations.

The rug industry faces several significant challenges that require careful consideration and strategic planning to overcome. One of the primary hurdles is intense competition from the machine-made products. With numerous manufacturers and retailers offering a wide range of products, businesses must find ways to set themselves apart. We emphasise on our unique designs, utilising high-quality materials, and implementing innovative marketing strategies to help us in distinguishing our products from the competition and attract more customers.

Yes, absolutely right, innovation plays a crucial role in any of the businesses, especially in the carpets business where innovation and creativity lie in the heart of the artisans. At Jaipur Rugs, we have implemented several changes to strengthen our processes and enabled technology to smoothen the entire experience from delivering the raw material to the doorsteps of our artisans and picking the finished products. The complete manufacturing process somewhat remains the same for handmade rugs but we have invested hugely in our R&D and design department. Today, we can proudly say that Jaipur Rugs has over 10,000 designs and still we think of designing and introducing never-before designs for our consumers.

We have a robust ERP system, that brought the most isolated and remote villages of India on a digital interface. This digital process has helped ensure and increase the supply chain's efficiency with quality control functions, and communication networks and enhanced the progress record tracking.

We have taken several initiatives to promote environmental responsibility and ensure the well-being of both artisans and the planet. Some of the key aspects of Jaipur Rugs’ commitment to sustainability are ethical sourcing and fair trade where we follow a fair-trade business model, which emphasises ethical sourcing practices and collaborate directly with artisans in rural communities, providing them with fair wages, safe working conditions, and opportunities for skill development. By empowering these artisans, we support sustainable livelihoods and preserve traditional craftsmanship. The company prioritises the use of natural and eco-friendly materials in their rug production. They primarily work with high-quality wool, which is a renewable and biodegradable resource. Additionally, we utilise natural dyes, these dyes are free from harmful chemicals, and reduce the environmental impact.

Jaipur Rugs implements water conservation measures throughout its manufacturing processes. They have adopted efficient dyeing techniques that minimise water usage and have invested in wastewater treatment systems to ensure responsible disposal of water. By reducing water consumption and implementing sustainable practices, Jaipur Rugs aims to minimise their impact on local water resources.

Our company emphasises waste reduction by promoting recycling and upcycling practices. Through our sustainable initiative, Manchaha are made using hand-spun leftover yarn batches. The yarn is in such small quantities that it cannot be reused as part of another regular rug.
