Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) on Friday reported a slump in its net profit by 72 per cent to Rs 2,397.23 crore in Q2 FY 2024-25 as compared to the profit of Rs 8,501.17 crore in the corresponding period of FY 23-24.
The company has reported revenue from operations of Rs 1,17,951.69 crore for the quarter Jul- Sep 2024 whereas Rs 1,16,594.25 crore in the corresponding comparative quarter.
The state-run BPCL EBITDA for the current quarter of FY 24-25 stood at Rs 5,436.03 crore whereas it reported Rs 13,679.21 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY 23-24; the EBITDA margin was at 4.61 per cent in the current quarter of FY 24-25 Vs 11.73 per cent in Q2 FY 23-24.
The market sales for July 24 have increased to 12.39 MMT in comparison to 12.19 MMT in Q2 of FY 23-24. Sales have grown by 1.64 per cent. In the current quarter, the throughput is 10.28 MMT whereas 9.35 MMT in Q2 of FY 23-24.
