Baahubali : Highest grosser movie franchisee in Indian Cinema
Not only as a single movie, but Baahubali as franchisee (Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion) has emerged as the highest grossing franchisee in Indian Cinema. The duo beats the likes of Abhishek Bachchan starrer Dhoom (3 movies), Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish (3 movies) and Salman Khan starrer Dabaang (2 movies) series of movies. Will the producers think of a third edition? Numbers suggest that it makes perfect business sense to carry on with the series.
Baahubali 2 vs Dangal vs Sultan: Opening Weekend
A lot has been said about Baahubali vs Dangal vs Sultan. Sultan and Dangal have been Bollywood blockbusters of 2016 with record breaking opening weekend collections. The movies had Bollywood's two most bankable superstars - Salman Khan for Sultan and Aamir Khan for Dangal. In comparison, Baahubali had a modest known star cast. But riding on the success of the first movie and a superbly crafted marketing thrill of ‘Kattappa ne Baahubali ko kyun maara?’ (Why did Kattappa killed Baahubali), Baahubali 2 had a massive opening weekend.
Baahubali 2: A winner in regional language too
Not only when compared to the Bollywood movies, the Telegu version of Baahubali proved to be a regional hit too. The Telegu version of the movie proved to be the highest weekend opener in all Tollywood movies.
