Asia's longest beach festival is all set to be launched in December. The event that will be demarcated under four zones - Cave, Beach, Diu Fort And Amphitheatre, will be inaugurated by President Of India, Pranab Mukherjee on 1st December in Diu with a performance by Shubha Mugdal.
Union territory administration of Daman & Diu; Government of India in conjunction with Ferriswheel Entertainment, is organising Festa De Diu 2015 from 01 December 2015 to 15 February 2016 in Diu.
This festival is expecting 35 lakh tourists this calendar year. It is part of a national publicity campaign launched recently to promote Diu as a favoured tourist destination.
Designed to become the longest running beach festival, Festa De Diu shall comprise of various elements like 60 luxury beach tents, Spas, 5 star category restaurants, adventure sports like bungee jumping, zip lining, hot air balloon etc., community outreach workshops, carnival, Jam sessions, concerts, fashion shows and much more.
An entire spectrum of 140 live events with over 300 artists have been planned over 77 days and noted artists like Malaika Arora Khan, Kailasa Band, Milind Soman, Indian Ocean, Hard Kaur, Neeraj Shridhar, Ankit Tiwari, Benny Dayal, Darsheel Safary and many others will set the stage on fire. All set to enthrall audiences from across India, this festival will offer a variety of entertainment options with specific themes dedicated to every week such as diu liberation week, music week, children’s week, festive week, fitness week, india week, party week, art week, comedy & theatre week, patriotic week, youth week and DIU Special Week.
