Apple is preparing for the anticipated release of its iPhone 16 series in September, with an ambitious production target of 90 million handsets. According to BusinessKorea, Apple's primary production partner, Foxconn, has greatly increased its efforts to fulfil this large objective by adding 50,000 additional workers at its Zhengzhou factory in China. The peak season for iPhone production normally lasts from August to December. Foxconn has taken attempts to increase production by raising hourly compensation and hiring bonuses for its employees.
Beginning in late July, the factory began paying an hourly rate of up to 25 Yuan (USD 3.483). The recruiting incentive has also been increased from 6,000 Yuan USD 835.946 to as much as 7,500 Yuan (USD 1,044.859). The Zhengzhou factory, the world's largest iPhone production centre, is critical to Apple's manufacturing strategy for the new iPhone 16 series.
Along with Foxconn's efforts, Samsung and LG have increased their manufacturing to facilitate the iPhone 16 release. As per reports, Apple has placed an order for 80 million display panels from Samsung and 43 million from LG. This collaboration emphasises the scope and significance of the iPhone 16 release, as well as the key relationships that support Apple's manufacturing and supply chain activities.
The enhanced production capacity and strategic advancements are expected to play a critical part in reaching Apple's high expectations for the iPhone 16, ensuring the company's ability to deliver a large volume of smartphones to market in the coming months.
