Apple has become the first brand to exceed USD 1 trillion in value, according to the latest global ranking by Kantar’s BrandZ.
This is a 15 per cent increase from the previous year, reinforcing Apple’s position as the world’s most valuable brand for the third consecutive year in 2024. Alphabet’s Google and Microsoft follow in the rankings, with brand values of USD 753 billion and USD 713 billion, respectively.
The iPhone maker’s success is supported by the recent unveiling of new AI features, which are expected to reignite consumer interest in iPhones and address the decline in sales caused by unpredictable consumer spending and rising competition from tech rivals. With a market capitalisation of USD 3.18 trillion, Apple remains ahead of Nvidia, which has a market cap of USD 2.97 trillion.
Nvidia, riding a wave of AI enthusiasm and increased demand for chips, has entered Kantar’s top 10 most valuable brands for the first time. Its brand value has surged to over USD 200 billion, making it the sixth most valuable brand globally.
Oracle has also made a significant entrance into the top 10, securing the ninth spot with a brand value of USD 145 billion, a 58 per cent increase from the previous year. The company’s focus on AI-powered cloud services has propelled its brand value and market presence.
