National carrier Air India will increase frequencies and add new routes, both domestic and international, in its upcoming summer schedule effective March 27.
The airline said will start its thrice weekly Delhi–Vienna service using a Boeing 787 from April 6.
The existing thrice a week flight from Delhi to Milan has been increased to four flights per week. Customers flying to Russia will now have a facility of a third frequency on the Delhi-Moscow sector.
The airline will provide more seating capacity on the Mumbai-Delhi-Hong Kong-Seoul/ Osaka route by deploying a Boeing 787 aircraft.
As part of its "Connect India" program, Air India will now offer new routes to Vijaywada from Bengaluru with five return flights a week on its ATR 42.
India’s third largest airline by market share, Air India is also increasing its frequency on the domestic sectors by adding a daily return flight on the Mumbai–Bhopal sector. This schedule will offer a daily return flight from Bengaluru to Trivandrum which has been planned by A321.
Frequency on the Delhi-Pune sector is also being enhanced with number of flights added to and from Pune.
Passengers looking for more options to Punjab will also be able to enjoy the fourth frequency with return flights on Delhi-Amritsar sector, the airline said.
Kolkata will also be connected to Agartala by an ATR 42 with five return flights per week. Tourists to Himachal will now have a daily frequency from Delhi to Kullu instead of the existing six days a week. The Delhi-Kullu route will be operated by ATR 72 aircraft.
