Thriive Art & Soul was established in 2017 and is a state-of-the-art digital portal directory of verified wellness therapists and healers from across 150+ alternative health modalities. Thriive was founded with an aim to build a collective community of healers, seekers and explorers through partnerships and collaborations and spread the light of wellness. We wanted to ensure that the brand we create is reserved not only for ‘spiritual’ people, but one that is inherently relatable and light. We have since witnessed an organic growth to become the country’s first integrated Alternative & Holistic Wellness platform, which is well reflected in our strong database of over 40,000. Our flagship international events - Global Festival of Spiritual Sciences (GFSS) & Quantum Energy Conclave (QEC) - have shown considerable growth not just in the number of attendees, but the quality of international speakers and the events themselves.
Thriive also houses a robust exclusive online library of guided meditations and talks, a bursting events page to help the seeker explore more of this alternative universe, and a deeply researched search section that answers queries regarding a host of ailments.
What motivated you to start Thriive? What are your key learnings from the industry?
My spiritual journey began at 24, and I realised how we are always a victim of life’s problems and situations. This led me to explore a plethora of courses, and discourses of many masters, countless books, leading me to one thought: The paths are many, the destination is one.
Fascinated with energy, my husband and I, started Pyramid Valley International, Asia’s largest meditational pyramid, in 2006 in Bangalore. With an ever-growing network of connections of healers, therapists, speakers, and seekers globally I realized the time had come to give them all a platform where they could connect. As family and friends turned to us, whenever they required a verified Alternate Energy therapist, I realised the lack of a platform that brings together and helps in verifying healers and therapists in this huge alternative wellness industry. So we thought, this is a gap we should fill!
In a shrinking world ruled by technology, there was no better space for us to utilise than the online space, and came the birth of Thriive Art & Soul. In the past 15 years, we have attracted world-renowned speakers, and a large audience nationally, to strengthen our ever increasing network. After spending time with such a variety of masters and exploring many modalities, I realised that the paths are many, the destination one, and our job is to facilitate the seeker’s exploration through the myriad roads.
What do you plan in future?
Wellness in India is ancient, and every form of yoga, meditation, Ayurveda has its roots in India. Today, new generations of Indians are seeking the strength that lies latent in them, and turning to self-empowering methods. We want to aid them and bring transformation to the doorstep of people everywhere helping them tune into their greatest potential.
Can you share some wellness tips for 2018?
Wellness is associated with everything from health, fitness, beauty, food, relationships, and to the soul. It is the mini steps one takes on a daily basis, that helps us transform from the inside out. Adopting wellness practices cannot be time-bound, but an inherent part of our everyday lives. Five such simple wellness practices that you can include in your daily schedule are:
Self-acceptance
There is nothing more beautiful than a person who radiates true self-love. Moving away from superficial standards of beauty, it is important to understand that your imperfections only add depth, and say “I love me exactly as I am!”
Clean eating
Balance is the key! Overdoing or underdoing anything messes with the mind and the hormones. It is important to listen to your body, and it will tell you what it needs. Do not starve, hydrate, eat clean, and restrict sugar and dairy from your diet.
Meditation
Daily meditations are a must as they elevate your energy, and your vibe. You are not your body, nor your mind, but you are your soul. Meditating every day for even 15 minutes can recharge you for a full day and help manage stress levels.
Fitness
Sweat it out, doing things you love, step by step. Walk, dance, go to the gym or do yoga – get off the couch. Do not become frozen, for the fear of perfection. Create a habit that fitness does not become a chore, and you will find you have more energy as you progress.
Hobbies
Learning a new skill, reading a book, chasing a sport, or even just listening to music, there is something new you can try every day. Do not let your mind stagnate. Research has proven that this builds new neural connections, which is the most powerful anti-ageing tool!
