Adani Signs MoU For Hydroelectric Plant In Bhutan

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani and Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay on Monday signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a 570 MW hydropower facility in Chukha province. Gautam Adani praised Bhutan's efforts to build infrastructure under King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck's vision and indicated his desire to work with the nation on hydro and other projects.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Gautam Adani said, "Absolutely fascinating meeting with Dasho Tshering Tobgay, Hon. Prime Minister of Bhutan. Signed an MoU with DGPC for a 570 MW green hydro plant in Chukha province. Admirable to see @PMBhutan advancing the vision of His Majesty The King and pursuing broad ranging infrastructure initiatives across the kingdom. Looking forward to working closely on hydro & other infra in Bhutan."
Adani also met King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and praised his vision for Bhutan’s Growth.
