In the last two days, more than 450 delegates gathered at Women's Economic Forum (WEF) organised at the Taj Vivanta hosted by Dr Harbeen Arora and Vinay Rai. Three big words in the name it self, "Women", "Economics" and a powerful "Forum" all under one roof.
The theme for the conclave was "Innovating for Wealth and Wellness at Personal and National Level."
The event has seen top notch people across the sector including Anupriya Patel, Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family, Ashok Amritraj the famous tennis player and film producer, Dr Naresh Trehan acclaimed cardiologist and Managing Director Medanta and Ashok Lohani, Chairman Railway board.
The champion who stood out most evidently was a dynamic lady well in the winter of her life, Cheryl Kumar Templeton who moved to Mcleodganj decades ago and is relentlessly setting up business after business, breaking the barriers in fields well known to be the forte of "men". She runs a café and a hotel and has also made a foray into the wine business.
A milieu of women from all walks of life, professions and age groups were privy to this conclave. The few men that were peppered through the event were evidently feminists and exceedingly supportive of women.
Topics ranging from Wellness, health, spirituality, entrepreneurship, beauty, leadership, innovation, finances, fashion, and meditation were discussed over fifty sessions.
With over a hundred speakers sharing their views, journeys and stories of growth and transformation the environment was charged with positive energy and enthusiasm.
In the wellness space, life coaches, energy workers, fitness experts, renowned nutritionists, doctors and entrepreneurs shared their knowledge and vision forward.
Stalwarts of the nutrition fitness and space, Dr Shobha Kaul of Personal Point, Dr Shikha Sharma, Gita Ramesh Managing Director Kairali Ayurvedic Group shared invaluable nuggets on well-being.
Famous Dermatologist Dr Deepali Bhardwaj, Charu Shankar-Head of the Wellbeing Team at Rosewalk Healthcare (a luxury hospital for women), Ruchira Dabbas Director of Sharan, the sanctuary for health and reconnection to animals and nature. and Amrit Puri CSR Head at Apeejay Stya University discussed the merits of Natures Wisdom and Our Ability to Create Health & Wellness without Big Pharma
Annu Kalra, Spiritually Inspired Author, Artist and Guide, Dr Manish Anwekar CEO Spiritual Konnect and Cheryl Kumar Templeton entrepreneur, spoke of Integral Holism- integrating Yoga, Psychology, Cross-cultural Faiths & Philosophy for Creating our Own Unique Path for Self Fulfillment & Flourishing.
Young Founder Anchal Gupta, Netram Eye Foundation and Dr Naya Mond Educator, Leader, Entrepreneur, Innovator, Mentor From Rwanda, Kenya spoke about Success and the benefits of inculcating a spiritual practice.
Veteran Kiran Sharma, director ITE group, Coach Jaswinder Grewal, Suparna Mukherjee Beauty Queen, Shvetika Kaul wellness Consultant, Yoga Teacher &Therapist from Personal Point shared their wisdom on how to age gracefully and how to stay beautiful.
Acclaimed Cardiologist Dr Alok Chopra spoke on psycho-spirituality being the path to heal the heart, on meditation superconsciousness and authentic holism. His partner in their newest venture that's coming up shortly, Sanjay Sachdeva from Intelligent Aging spoke about reversing the ageing process through functional medicine, regenerative medicine, stem cells, genomics, epigenetics and human flourishing leading to living healthy beyond 100.
