We Are Moving Towards Inclusive Digital Transformation With 5G, Says CII

CII President Sanjiv Bajaj on Thursday said that the launch of 5G will usher in the era of inclusive digital transformation.

In the statement, Bajaj emphasised that the launch of 5G will prove to be a game-changer in enabling new use cases and improve efficiency across every industry.

He also said that the launch of 5G will ensure that digital technologies are universally available, accessible, and adoptable, enabling meaningful and safe use of the Internet and digital services for all.

5G was officially launched by PM Modi at the IMC 2022 in a high-profile affair that saw all the leaders from the telecom industry mark an attendance and vouch for the promise of 5G. 

Airtel rolled out its 5G services on Oct.1 for eight cities while Jio has announced its 5G services rollout in beta in four cities on Oct. 5.
