Twitter on Thursday announced that it is introducing a new feature which will allow its users to combine photos, videos and GIFs in single tweet.
Previously, Twitter users could share a single piece of media either photo/video or a GIF per tweet.
Now, the users can add up to four videos, images and/or GIFs per tweet.
How To Share Mixed Media Tweet
While composing the tweet users can tap on the ‘media’ or ‘GIF’ icons and decide on the content they want to share – they can be photos, videos and GIFs.
The new feature has been rolled out for iOS and Android users. But the tweets of different content types will be available on all platforms including desktop.
Soon, Twitter is expected to roll out the feature for Tweet Embeds to support Mixed Media too.
There were hints of such a development as users had reported Twitter testing such a feature. Twitter had confirmed the feature in July.
The new feature complements the rollout of Twitter’s two new video products — full-screen videos and a new video carousel in the Explore tab — that help make it easier for people to find and watch what’s happening on the social media platform.
