Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company’s new launch the all-new Apache RR 310 marks the company’s entry into the super-premium motorcycle segment, both in domestic and international markets.
TVS Apache RR 310 will have a tough competition with BMW G310R - a yet to be launched motorcycle developed by BMW Motorrad in collaboration with TVS Motor Company. The G310R is BMW Motorrad’s first sub-500cc motorcycle.
While the TVS Apache RR 310 was first showcased as TVS Akula 310 concept bike at the 2016 Auto Expo, the BMW G310R was revealed in October 2015 in Brazil as the BMW G310 Stunt concept bike.

BMW G310R
Priced at $4,750 (approx. Rs 3.06 lakh), it is available in three body colour options - Pearl White Metallic, Cosmic Black, and Strato Blue Metallic.
It is powered by 313cc water-cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder engine, which churns out 25kW of rated output at 9,500rpm and 28Nm of maximum torque at 7,500rpm. It is mated to a six speed transmission.
Looks and design wise, BMW G310R carries the BMW S 1000 R genes. The sporty headlight fairing with powerful headlight, fuel tank trim, sporty seat, gold anodized fork and brake calipers emphasize the workmanship of the machine.
Another highlight is the detailed aluminum swing arm. ABS (anti-lock braking system) comes as a standard feature on the bike.
It measures 1,988mm X 896mm X 1,227mm, with 1,374mm of wheelbase and 785mm of seat height.
