Trupti Mukker, formerly Head of Customer Experience and Delivery at WhiteHat Jr / BYJU’S FutureSchool, has now been appointed CEO of White Hat Jr.
The appointment was announced in an internal email sent by Byju Raveendran, Founder and CEO of ed-tech firm Byju's to his employees. This news comes shortly after Karan Bajaj, Founder & CEO, White Har Jr, announced his departure.
Founder & CEO of White Hat Jr, Karan Bajaj decided to take a "small sabbatical" a year after the platform was acquired by Byju's in August 2020.
White Hat Jr began as a platform to teach coding to children through one-on-one online classes. The platform has since expanded to teach music and math, with more than 11,000 educators and 17,000 employees. It was acquired at $300 million by Byju's, an online learning platform for K-12 students, as well as, exam preparation.
Karan Bajaj in a LinkedIn post stated, "Barely 2.5 years ago, it was an idea. Now, thanks to the power of tech, thousands of students and teachers are on the WHJ/BYJU’S FutureSchool platform, creating things with coding, maths, and now even the guitar and piano daily across the world, living the mission of kids being builders and creators versus consumers!"
He also expressed gratitude to his employees and Byju in the same post. Further adding, " A warm welcome to Trupti Mukker, my classmate from IIM and a leader I’ve admired from far for two decades. I know her competent, compassionate leadership will enable thousands of women to enter the mainstream workforce as WhiteHat Jr/BYJU’S FutureSchool expands into new countries and courses."
