As the technological revolution is going on in the world so teachers and students need to be equipped with suitable skills to be future-ready, said Indu Kumar, Head of Department, ICT and Training, Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
While speaking at Oracle Technology Day: Delivering on India's Techade, she said, India continues to have one of the largest knowledge economies in the world, and education is a key pillar for economic growth. To make education more readily and safely accessible to everyone, we must embrace current tools and technology.
She added children are very far ahead in using technology but we need to make them aware of the ethical use of technology.
Giving special emphasis on making students learn various skills she said, it's very important to learn newer skills for survival today especially skills like emotional intelligence, critical thinking, technological skills and leadership skills.
On making education accessible to everyone she said, platforms like DIKSHA has helped students to get access to various resources in their own language, even the students living in the tribal area can avail resources in tribal languages.
