IT player Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has opened a new delivery centre in Warsaw, Poland, further strengthening its presence in Europe. The new facility, located in the heart of the city, is expected to double its workforce to over 1,200 employees within the next year.
TCS said it aims to leverage Poland’s growing talent pool in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to meet the increasing demand for specialised technology and business solutions.
The centre will play a crucial role in TCS’ European delivery network, offering near-shore services to its clients across the continent. The company said that this network ensures tailored, hyper-connected services that accommodate the specific cultural, compliance, language, and technological needs of its customers.
The company, which derives over 30 per cent of its revenue from Continental Europe and the UK, has been steadily expanding its delivery capabilities in the region to meet the rising demand for digital transformation and innovation.
TCS has been operating in Poland since 2006, and the expansion of its Warsaw center is a reflection of the company’s long-standing commitment to the country.
“Poland is a strategic location for TCS, and we are proud of our long-standing commitment to the region. For nearly twenty years, TCS has been establishing solid partnerships with prominent Polish and global companies. Our decision to invest and scale our presence demonstrates our faith in the Polish economy and the exceptional talent available here to support our customers across the world,” said Sapthagiri Chapalapalli, head of Europe at TCS.
In recent years, TCS has made significant investments in Europe, opening new facilities in Portugal, Sweden, and France. This latest expansion aligns with European governments’ digital goals for 2030, which focus on enhancing digital skills, infrastructure, and innovation to maintain the region’s competitive edge.
