Tata Motors Opens Bookings For New Nexon AMT In India: Read The Details Here

Tata Motors has officially commenced bookings for its compact SUV – Tata Nexon AMT, across all its authorized dealerships in India for Rs 11,000.

Catering to the growing popularity of AMT vehicles in India, Tata Motors is all set to introduce its Nexon SUV with HyprDrive Self-Shift Gears (S-SG). 

First launched in India in 2017, with Nexon AMT Tata Motors is “confident that this product will not only be high on convenience but will also thrill the customers with its sporty drive performance.”

The company is also committed to introduce “many more such path breaking products in the near future.”

Before you rush to book the upcoming vehicle, read below some of the important details of Tata Nexon AMT with S-SG.

1. First unveiled in India at the Auto Expo 2018, the Nexon HyprDrive Self-SG is the first AMT in India to have multi-drive modes (Eco, City, and Sport) in automatic transmission.
2. With the introduction of Nexon Hyprdrive S-SG, Tata Motors has branded all its 2 pedal transmission cars as Hyprdrive while all the AMT variants from the company will be now termed as Self-Shift Gears (S-SG). 
3. The six speed AMT will be available in Nexon’s XZA+ trim in both petrol and diesel options.
4. It is powered with 1.2L turbocharged Revotron petrol engine that churns out 110PS of maximum output at 5000rpm and 170Nm of peak torque at 1750-4000rpm. Its 1.5L turbocharged Revotorq diesel engine has 110PS @ 3750rpm and 260Nm @ 1500-2750rpm.
5. Apart from the existing colours, Tata Nexon AMT will also come in an all-new Etna Orange colour with a Sonic Silver dual-tone roof.
6. The upcoming SUV will also features Crawl Function and Smart Hill Assist. For convenience during slow moving traffic Crawl Function will help the car to move ahead without pressing the accelerator. The Smart Hill Assist prevents the car from rolling back on uphill drives during bumper-to-bumper traffic.
7. With features such as anti-stall, kick-down and fast-off, Nexon AMT will have intelligent transmission controller.
8. Its manual Tip-Tronic transmission helps to shift gears manually while enjoying a clutch free drive experience. Also, its wearable PEPS key helps you to wear your Nexon keys like a wrist band for added ease.
9. The vehicle measures 3994mm X 1811mm X 1607mm, with 2498mm of wheelbase, 209mm of unladen ground clearance, and 350 litres of boot space.
10. Tata Nexon AMT will have competition from the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and Ford EcoSport. While Vitara Brezza is offered only in diesel manual trim, EcoSport gets a 6-speed automatic transmission only on the petrol engine.
