Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched its first sub-1000cc big bike in the country – Suzuki GSX-S750 for Rs 745,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Sporting the DNA of GSX-R series, GSX-S750 is the ‘Apex Predator’ and is Suzuki’s second ‘Make-in-India’ big-bike after Hayabusa.
The Suzuki GSX-S750 is powered by a 749cc 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that produces 84kW @10,500rpm and 81Nm @9,000rpm. It is mated to a six-speed constant mesh transmission.
The Apex Predator will be available in two different colour variants - Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black, and Glass Sparkle Black/Candy Daring Red.
From designing and styling perspective, the GSX-S750 features a chiselled fuel tank, vented front fender, light rear fender, molded mirrors, and angular tail section with integrated LED taillight.
The newly launched big bike measures 2125mm X 785mm X 1055mm, with 1455mm of wheelbase, 135mm of ground clearance, 820mm of seat height, and 16 litres of fuel tank capacity.
GSX-S 750 is also equipped with aggressive-looking headlight design and fang-shaped position, easy start system amongst other features.
Further, ensuring a greater riding confidence is the three-mode traction control system that can be easily selected with switches on the handlebars. Mode one is for sport riding, mode two for typical road conditions and, mode three delivers maximum traction control when riding in poor conditions.
The switches also allow to change the LCD information displays for full control over riding settings and environment.
For safety of the rider, Suzuki GSX-S750 has downdraft double-barrel Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) system; Suzuki’s digital ignition system, Idle Speed Control (ISC) and iridium spark plugs; and Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) produced by NISSIN.
The GSX-S750 features a lightweight, brightness-adjustable LCD instrument panel. Readouts include the speedometer, tachometer, traction control mode status, gear position, odometer, dual tripmeters, coolant temperatures, driving range, fuel consumption, and a clock. The tachometer readout can be personalised from a choice of five display patterns.
