Suzuki Intruder Or Bajaj Avenger: Which Is The best Buy?
After much anticipation, Suzuki Motorcycle India has finally forayed into the cruiser segment with the launch of 155cc Suzuki Intruder.
Priced at Rs 98,340, Suzuki Intruder is going to compete in India with Bajaj Avenger Street 150.
Launched in September 2015, Bajaj Avenger Street 150 is priced at Rs 81,459 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). Therefore, Suzuki Intruder has been priced Rs 16,881 more than its competitor.
Out of the two big bikes, the newly launched Suzuki Intruder has standard ABS (Anti-lock Brake System), which automatically controls the braking force and avoids wheel lock up due to slippery road, sudden change of road conditions or excessive braking in a certain controllable range.

Suzuki Intruder
The new Intruder comes equipped with 154.9cc, 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, 2 valve engine with 5-speed manual transmission. The engine churns out 14.9PS of output at 8000rpm, and 14Nm of torque at 6000rpm.
Suzuki Intruder 150 measures 2,130mm X 805mm X 1,095mm, with 1,405mm of wheelbase and 170mm of ground clearance.
Apart from ABS, the Intruder has features like a fully smart digital instrumentation, and SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) engine. In the looks department, it has legendary Intruder style headlamp, flowing character lines, big-bike like shrouds, LED tail lamp, and a distinctive sharp twin exhaust.
The new Intruder is available in two colours – Metallic Oort/Metallic Matt Black, and Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic Matt Titanium Silver.
Bajaj Avenger Street 150
The Avenger Street 150 is powered by 150cc, twin spark, 2 valve, DTS-i engine with 14.54PS of maximum power at 9000rpm and 12.5Nm of of torque at 6500rpm.
Unlike Intruder, Bajaj Avenger Street 150 has a classic analog meter and also don’t comes with ABS technology.
Dimensions wise, Street 150 has 2,177mm of length, 801mm of width and 1,070mm of height with 169mm of ground clearance and 1,480mm of wheelbase.
It is available in Matte Black, and Matte Wild Green colours.
