Two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched its all new cruiser bike Suzuki Intruder 150 in the country on Tuesday (7 November) for Rs 98,340 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The brain behind the newly launched Suzuki Intruder 150 is Toyoshi Tanaka, Chief Engineer, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan.
The Intruder will come equipped with 154.9cc 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, air-cooled engine which churns out 10.4kW of maximum output at 8000rpm, and 14Nm of maximum torque at 6000rpm. With a curb weight of 148kg, the bike will have a fuel consumption of 44km/ltr, claims the company.
The new Intruder 150, though, is based on the same platform as the Suzuki Gixxer, however the gear ratios of the both the bikes are different and the chassis has been tweaked to fit the cruiser set up.
Suzuki Intruder 150 is going to sport sharp and unique styling of twin outlet muffler, telescopic front suspension, and mono rear suspension.
It will be available in black and grey colour options.
At the launch, the company said that the FI version of Suzuki Intruder 150 will come to India in about six months.
The two-wheeler manufacturer is planning to launch 2-3 new products in India every year. Showing its commitment to the Indian market, the company wants to create consumer experiences by promoting bike culture.
Regarding its services, Suzuki is planning a one stop solution for all service related needs and aiming for parts availability, to consumers, through multiple channels.
Talking about network expansion in India, Sanjeev Rajasekaran, EVP, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, “The company’s dealerships is going to cross the 1000 mark in FY17-18, and it will close in on the 1300 mark by 2020.”
Suzuki Motorcycle India has recorded 5.3 per cent increase in its market share during April – September, 2017 when compared with 3.8 per cent during corresponding period previous year.
