SuperGaming has set the release date for its new battle royale game, Indus, for 16 October, 2024. The Made-in-India battle royale will be available for download on Android and iOS platforms through Google Play and the App Store.
After entering open beta testing, Indus has drawn significant interest from players globally. The game received over 12.5 million pre-registrations on Android, with feedback from beta participants helping to fine-tune the final product. Indus features a unique take on the battle royale genre, incorporating a dual victory condition where players can either be the last person standing or collect a rare in-game resource called Cosmium.
The game introduces Indian cultural elements through its characters, weapons and storylines. One of its standout features is the ‘Grudge’ system, which allows players to track and face off against opponents who previously defeated them. SuperGaming also released a cinematic trailer showcasing the gameplay and key character Adi, as he leads his squad through the dynamic world of Virlok, focusing on collecting Cosmium and confronting his rival, Pokhran.
Indus aims to offer a different gameplay experience from traditional battle royales, with its dual victory options adding complexity. The Grudge system further enhances the game’s competitive dynamics, giving players a chance to settle scores with opponents.
