SuperGaming, an Indian game development studio, has declared that the Battle Royale game, Indus, has surpassed one million downloads across iOS and Android platforms shortly after its release. The game generated significant interest ahead of its introduction, amassing 14 million pre-registrations, and quickly climbed to the number one spot on the Top Charts for free-to-play games on both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
On its release day, Indus recorded a good number of engagement statistics. Players participated in a total of 80,349 matches, with 10,50,747 total kills reported. The game’s Grudge system allowed players to declare rivalries, resulting in 2,01,217 grudges on day one. Among the notable gameplay metrics, there were 8,577 ‘Cosmium Clutches’ and 34,680 melee weapon kills, including 158 kills made with the Chappal, a melee weapon featured in the game.
Roby John, CEO and co-founder of SuperGaming stated that while reaching the milestone of one million downloads is significant, it marks only the beginning of their journey with Indus. John reiterated the studio's dedication to enhancing the gaming experience in collaboration with its community, acknowledging areas for improvement.
Indus is currently available for download on both iOS and Android platforms. SuperGaming has also introduced its year-long esports roadmap, the ‘Clutch India Movement’, which begins with the Indus International Tournament featuring a prize pool of Rs 2.5 crore. This initiative aims to unite top Indian and international teams across four tournament phases, with plans for an additional major tournament, the Indus International Mahasangram, scheduled for October 2025.
