The common perception is that fame and money comes easy for celebrities. The amount of hard work behind their popularity is often overlooked. Most of them come across roadblocks on their way, but beat them with their grit and patience. One of the examples of such persistence is the singing sensation Siddharth Koli. Today, he is a star performer who has over 1000 live shows in his name. He has numerous projects lined up ahead and people fondly refer to him as the life of any party. The list of stars who have performed alongside Siddharth includes popular names like Stebin Ben, Rahul Vaidya, and Maninder Buttar.
He is a coveted performer among corporate circles. Apart from live shows and corporate events, he also performs at weddings, cocktail parties, and other private events. He recently amazed the guests at the Mumbai wedding of Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar with his spectacular performance.
While this is Siddharth’s dream career and he is elated to reach here, his journey wasn’t easy. He had to struggle a lot to reach here.
In a recent interaction, Siddharth opened up about the obstacles that he had to face in this journey. The first challenge he faced was to discover his true calling. His family is full of politicians and police officers. While Siddharth loved music, he wasn’t sure if he wanted to make it a career. He was very young and peer pressure was high, too. All his friends dreamt of mainstream careers and motivated him to prepare for government exams, too. Siddharth says that the silver lining was when his family acknowledged his talent and motivated him to follow his passion. He had to silence his inner apprehensions and external noises to work hard in the direction of success.
He had a great example to follow in the family. Siddharth is the nephew of veteran actor Govinda and thus he had a great example to follow in the family. However, Siddharth always worried if he’d be good enough. His mother and uncle motivated him to work on his craft without getting pressurized. Siddharth says that beating self-doubt was another big challenge.
It was a long wait till Siddharth got his first paid contract and he got impatient many times. From the age of 9 when he started his music journey to his first paid contract, Siddharth focused just on learning, and that helped him cope with his anxiety and impatience.
Finding the right teacher was also challenging in the beginning, but he got lucky to get the guidance of legendary singers Shri Suresh Wadkar, Ms.Padma Wadkar, and Sharmishta Chatterjee.
Despite all these challenges, Siddharth worked hard and made it big in the field of music. Siddharth is a great source of inspiration for the youth to look beyond the challenges and work hard to achieve their dreams.
