In a landmark development, the Arunachal Pradesh state cabinet has given a green light to its Startup Policy, which was formulated to promote startups in the state. According to the policy, the state government will foster development of at least 250 new startups over the next five years.
The Arunachal Pradesh Startup Policy is bound to add stimulus to the ecosystem of innovation in the state and it will also create employment opportunities.
In its statement, the CMO said that the policy will push for transformation of Arunachal Pradesh into a global hub of innovation and entrepreneurship through holistic support to local startups. The Government of Arunachal Pradesh is stressing on the impetus of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Arunachal’ to boost the ecosystem of startups through various programmes and initiaves.
Arunachal Pradesh has increasingly found itself in Prime Minister Modi’s call for ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ in the recent times. The policy will help the startup ecosystem reach a higher level in the frontier Indian state.
