A management graduate, visionary and a health enthusiast, Rishabh Chokhani, 30, launched (in 2017) Naturevibe Botanicals with an investment of $4 million.
His passion for health and wellness started with his own transformation from being obese to being fit and healthy. Following his passion, he started operations in India under a subsidiary of Naturevibe Botanicals, to sell and promote greener ways of living by providing the best natural alternatives and organic food.
In an interview with BW Businessworld, he talks about competition, Indian market, target customers and more
How did this idea of organic food/products come to your mind?
Born in a business family that is into pharmaceutical manufacturing and exports, research and development of compounds, distributors of cosmetic chemicals, I wanted to venture into organic products market. I founded Naturevibe Botanicals in 2017.
Naturevibe Botanicals manufactures and sells the highest quality of organic products worldwide. After receiving a great response in the US and Canada, we started operations in India. All organic products marketed by Naturevibe Botanicals boast of tremendous medicinal properties, which prevent and treat innumerable diseases along with great taste.
Some of the Naturevibe Botanicals’ product categories include superfoods, essential oils, spices, herbal powders, organic and herbal teas etc.
How difficult is to convince people for a new brand when they are already comfortable with the other organic one? To whom you consider as target customers?
Most of my energy is spent on changing the perception of the people and driving them towards nature for good health and lifestyle. In our fast-paced lives, people look for shortcuts and unhealthy alternatives to achieve their health goals. However, through our products, we are propagating the message of going back to nature for achieving superior wellbeing.
Organic products have always helped in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and any and every person who wants to lead a healthy life is our target customer. The customers can buy our products online on all major e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart etc.
How much investment you have made to date?
So far, we have invested $4 million in seeting up our brand in India with the help of our parent company Euroasia Organics which supplies a diverse customer base around the world, comprised of distributors, Nutritional Supplement Manufacturers, Spice Companies, Tea and Beverage Companies, Flavor and Fragrance houses, Nutraceutical Companies, Manufacturers, Confectioners and many more.
What is your marketing strategy for the brand?
Currently, we are focussing on creating awareness about the goodness of nature. We are reiterating the fact that the solution to all health problems lies in nature. People will be able to realise this once they try our products.
What is the source of organic ingredients? How easy or difficult is to purchase/find the same? Who all are your suppliers?
The organic food market is capital intensive and it is also time-consuming. It takes time to grow the food organically, save it from pesticides and cultivate it properly. We source from farmers who are experienced in organic farming. Our farmer partners share a similar passion for growing healthy food with proper organic farming techniques. We source from farmers majorly in the western and southern part of India.
Who all you consider a competition?
India is the land of Ayurveda and we among many others who are promoting it. However, Naturevibe Botanicals is one such brand that is made in India for Indian and understands the needs of an Indian consumer completely. We believe that there is much more than nature has to offer to us in the form of oils, food, herbs, etc. this is what we are trying to bring about with our brand.
