Salman Khan starrer upcoming movie 'Tubelight' has already received an overwhelming response even before its release, which is due on June 23. Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie is a period drama set in the backdrop of 1962 Indo-Sino war.
Chinese actress Zhu Zhu will be making her big screen debut in the film.
Certified ‘U’ by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Sony Music reportedly has bought the music rights of the movie for an approximate amount of Rs 20 crore. NH Studioz bought the Indian theatrical release rights of the movie for an estimated amount of Rs 132 crore.
A Chinese company has bought the theatrical rights for ‘Tubelight’ in China for a whopping estimate of Rs 75 crore. The film is set to release across 1200 screens in China itself and is predicted to rake in huge overseas collection figures.
So all things taken into consideration and if one sums up these figures, it comes up to an approx. amount of Rs 227 crore. Meanwhile, the budget of the movie is reportedly around Rs 100 crore, having earned a profit of over Rs 100 crore even before its first trailer was launched.
This director - actor duo has previously given Indian box office hits like Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015).
Ek Tha Tiger which reportedly had an overall collection of Rs 198 crore and Bajrangi Bhaijaan with a total collection of Rs 320 crore, were both the highest grossers in their respective release years. Thus, it is predicted that ‘Tubelight’ will be an even bigger movie in terms of its box office collection figures.
