Upcoming premium SUV Renault Captur is going to challenge the dominance of compact SUVs in the Indian passenger vehicle industry. Two of such vehicles - Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, are definitely going to feel the heat in their sales, post the launch of Renault Captur.
This deserves a notable mention here that while Vitara Brezza was the highest selling utility vehicle for September 2017, Hyundai Motor India Limited’s Creta attained the second position.
With Captur, Renault India is planning to gain a strong foothold in the country’s growing SUV market. Knowing about the strong customer loyalty, which each of the three companies have, it is tough to give an overview of what exactly the result will be.

Price
It is expected that Renault India will price Captur within a range of Rs 11 lakh - Rs 15 lakh. Talking about the prices of other two SUVs, Hyundai Creta has been priced between Rs 929,000 - Rs 12,98,561 for the petrol variants. Creta’s diesel version starts from Rs 999,900 and extends up to Rs 14,55,390.

Country's largest automaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited's Vitara Brezza costs Rs 723,962, and the higher variant goes up to Rs 969,068.
Powertrain
While Renault Captur and Hyundai Creta are available in both petrol and diesel engine options. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza only comes in diesel engine option in six variants.
