President-elect Trump Connects Zelensky with Elon Musk in Post-Election Call

In a recent call facilitated by President-elect Donald Trump, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky reportedly connected with Elon Musk, who has been essential in maintaining Ukrainian communications during the conflict with Russia.

As The New York Times reported, the exchange took place at Mar-a-Lago, where Trump and Musk were gathered following Trump’s election victory. 

During the call, Zelensky congratulated Trump and took the opportunity to thank Musk for his continued communication support. Sources familiar with the discussion described the conversation as positive. The specifics of U.S. policy changes towards Ukraine under Trump’s incoming administration remain uncertain, although he has previously expressed intentions to swiftly end the Ukraine conflict—an approach that many interpret as potentially favoring Russian-held territories remaining under Moscow's control.

Trump, who has critiqued the extensive military and financial aid provided to Ukraine by the Biden administration, refrained during a recent presidential debate from explicitly backing either side in the conflict. His stance has sparked considerable debate regarding the future of U.S. involvement in the region.
