Defence tech startup Optimized Electrotech secured a grant of Rs 25 crore—the highest grant awarded under any government initiative at DefConnect 4.0—after emerging as the top winner of the ADITI 1.0 iDEX-DIO Challenge.
The recognition, awarded by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, includes innovation set to bolster India’s defence capabilities, particularly in space situational awareness.
The ADITI 1.0 Challenge is part of the Defence Innovation Organisation’s (DIO) iDEX initiative, aimed at fostering innovation in critical defence technologies. Optimized Electrotech’s solution was chosen for its scalability and potential to address future defence applications, aligning with India’s modernisation goals.

The startup plans to use the grant to further develop its technologies in support of the Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) mission. DefConnect 4.0 highlighted the contributions of startups like Optimized Electrotech towards strengthening India’s technological and defence ecosystem, reinforcing the nation's commitment to self-reliance and cutting-edge innovation.
